Safe Space Notts Training

Equation are specialist providers of Sexual Violence and Domestic abuse training in Nottingham. They provide free training to all venues signing up to Safe Space Notts.  

The training aims to provide businesses and employees in the Night-time economy with awareness of how to respond towards incidents of violence and abuse to women and girls in venues or on-street.

The 1.5hrs training is FREE and can be accessed in person and online. It is aimed at individuals working in Nottingham City and it’s night time economy.

What the training includes:

The session will increase your understanding and awareness of:

  • How and when harassment, violence and abuse might take place towards women in the night-time economy from strangers, acquaintances or intimate partners.
  • Inappropriate and illegal sexual activity, consent and harassment, including towards staff.
  • Myths, stereotypes and judgemental attitudes.
  • Bystander Intervention; how to recognise and challenge inappropriate and predatory behaviours.
  • Creating safe spaces in venues for staff and customers.
  • Support options and specialist services.
  • Safe Space Notts initiative.
